Sustainability

Our planet, our people, our future

Sustainability at Unilode

At Unilode we don't see Sustainability as a buzzword, but a state of mind that is at the core of everything we do globally. As a global leader in aviation ULD management, our decision-making aims to ensure that we always strive to perform responsibly, safely and environmentally-consciously, and that our success, and growth is built on ethics and effective sustainability.

A safe, inclusive workplace, and fair opportunity through every tier of our supply chain.

  • Planet

Lower emissions, less waste and renewable energy across the world's largest ULD fleet.

  • Policy

Effective oversight, ethical governance and the Unilode values framework behind every decision.

Our five pillars

Our five pillars support our PEOPLE, PLANET and POLICY commitments

At Unilode we have defined our Sustainability strategy based on our extensive stakeholder, people, community and customer engagement activity, which makes sure we meet the needs of our customers, and industry, while managing and operationally minimising our social, environmental and economic impacts.

Freightweek Sustainability Awards 2026

Sustainable ULD Provider of the Year 2026

Unilode has been named Sustainable ULD Provider of the Year 2026 at the Freightweek Sustainability Awards — the fifth consecutive year the category has been awarded to our teams.

The recognition reflects measurable progress rather than intent: emissions intensity reduced year on year across both scopes, smarter pooling of the world's largest ULD fleet, digital tooling applied end to end, and assets kept in service for longer through repair before replace.

  • 28.9%Year-on-year reduction in Scope 1 emissions intensity
  • 34.7%Year-on-year reduction in Scope 2 emissions
  • 5 yearsConsecutive wins in the Sustainable ULD Provider category

Behind the result

  • Smarter ULD pooling across the global fleet
  • Digital innovation applied end to end
  • Longer asset lifecycles through repair before replace

Five years of recognition reflect the work of our global teams, and in particular our Sustainability Champions, whose commitment keeps these targets moving.

Sustainability is how we operate, not a line in a report.
